I've been photographing graduates in Victoria since 2018 and professionally since 2012. Studio sessions. Outdoor sessions. The kind where it's just you looking like yourself at this exact moment, and the kind where your whole family crowds in because they want to be part of it too.

Simple from start to finish. Here's what to expect:

Before your session
Once you book, I’ll send you an email with everything you need to prepare for your session.
For outdoor sessions, I'll suggest locations based on the look you're after. No guessing, no last-minute panic.

During your session
I'll direct you through the whole thing.
You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands, that's my job.
Studio sessions are focused and efficient.
Outdoor sessions have more room to move and more variety.
Either way, most people are surprised by how quickly they relax into it.

After your session
Within three days of your session for studio bookings and three weeks of your session for outdoor sessions, you'll receive your proofing gallery.
From there, you'll select your chosen images: each one delivered in both colour and black and white, professionally edited and ready to download.

The Grad Gathering | $995
For the grad who wants everyone in the frame.
A 60-minute outdoor session for your grad portraits plus the people who showed up for you — a bigger group of friends, extended family, or an immediate family who wants more time and more images to choose from. 25 fully edited images delivered in colour and black and white.
Want everything from the session? Add the full gallery upgrade at booking for $250.

The Grad + Family Session | $695
For the grad who wants the full picture.
An outdoor session in two parts — grad portraits in your attire or outfit first, then photos with your parents while you're all together and dressed for it. Ten fully edited images delivered in colour and black and white.
Because your parents have been waiting for this moment just as long as you have.
Immediate family only or up to 4 friends. Outdoor only.

Studio or outdoor.
One focused 30 minute session for one individual, up to three wardrobe looks, and up to three backdrops or setups within your chosen location.
Three fully retouched images in colour and black and white copies and print and web resolution included.

Common questions about Grad Photography in Victoria BC

Where do grad sessions take place in Victoria?
Studio sessions take place at my Victoria studio. Outdoor sessions take place across Greater Victoria — parks, beaches, gardens, and urban locations depending on the look you're after. After you book, I'll suggest locations based on what you have in mind. Sessions within 30 km of the V9B area code are included; travel fees apply beyond that.
When should I book my grad session?
As early as you can. Grad season — May through August — fills quickly, especially for outdoor sessions in the evening when the light is best. If you have a specific date in mind, reach out and I'll let you know what's available.
Do I wear my gown?
Entirely up to you. Some grads want gown shots, some don't, some want both. If you'd like gown photos, bring it along and we'll work it in — cap and gown are not provided, so be sure to bring yours.
How long until I receive my grad photos?
Your proofing gallery arrives within three weeks of your session. From there you'll make your selections, and your final edited files will be ready to download shortly after.
Can I bring my partner or a friend to the session?
For The Grad Portrait, and The Grad Session, these are individual sessions — best done solo so we can focus entirely on you. If you want to include others, the Grad Gathering and The Grad + Family Session is the right option.
Do you photograph university convocation as well as high school grad?
Yes — both. Whether it's high school graduation, a university degree, post-grad program or any other milestone worth documenting, the sessions and packages are the same.
What if the weather doesn't cooperate for my outdoor session?
I watch the forecast closely the morning of every session. If conditions look poor, I'll reach out and we'll find a better date — no stress, no penalties.
How many photos will I receive?
It depends on your session what’s included and upgrade options are available.
