The best part of any session is the moment everyone forgets I'm there.
I’ve been photographing people since 2012.
Long enough to know that the most guarded person in the room is often the one with the most interesting story to tell.
My job isn’t to force a pose or a “everyone smile for the camera" moment. It’s to create enough space and direction that you feel comfortable enough to simply be yourself.

You show up, and I handle the rest. I provide active, intentional direction throughout the entire session. You won't have to wonder what to do with your hands or if your expression looks "right"—I’m managing every detail of the light and the angles.

03 Pick Your Photos
Your polished gallery arrives in a streamlined digital dashboard.
For Headshot sessions, you’ll receive your proofs within 3 business days (rush options are available if needed sooner).
For Family sessions, your full curated gallery is ready to view within 2 to 3 weeks.
Once you choose your favourites, I provide the final high-resolution files in both colour and black-and-white, formatted and ready for immediate use.

My headshot is from 2017. Is that actually a problem?
It’s less about the date and more about the disconnect. If the person who appears in a Google search doesn’t quite match the person who walks into the boardroom today, it creates a small moment of friction. You’ve likely grown and achieved a lot since 2017; your image should reflect the level you’re actually operating at now. It’s an easy bridge to gap, and usually a huge relief once it's done.
Do you offer team and corporate headshots in Victoria BC?
Yes — for teams of all sizes, including on-location sessions at your office or boardroom. Corporate headshots are available across Greater Victoria, Langford, and Vancouver Island. Team headshot packages are organized so your people aren't spending half their day waiting for their turn.
Studio or outdoor headshots — which is better for me?
Studio gives you a clean, polished look — timeless and profession-neutral. Lawyers, doctors, executives, and corporate profiles tend to land here. Outdoor uses Victoria's natural light for something warmer and more approachable — great for coaches, consultants, authors, and anyone whose brand is more human than institutional. Not sure? What if my kids won't cooperate during the session?
In 13+ years of photographing families, not one session has been ruined by uncooperative kids. Not once. Because the session isn't set up to require their cooperation for the full shoot — it's set up to catch them in motion. Mid-laugh, mid-run, mid-chaos. That's where the photos actually are. The ones you'll frame and still love in fifteen years.
What should we wear for our family photos?
Coordinate, don't match. Think about a colour palette rather than a single colour — warm neutrals, muted tones, and earthy shades tend to work beautifully in Victoria's outdoor settings. Wear something you'd be comfortable moving in, because you will be moving. A full what-to-wear guide is included with every booking.
What if it rains or the weather is bad?
Victoria's weather is famously its own thing. A rescheduling policy is in place for sessions that genuinely can't proceed — this is all covered when you book. Worth knowing: a light overcast sky is actually a photographer's best friend. It diffuses the light beautifully. Not every grey sky is a reason to cancel.
