Before your session
The moment you book, you'll receive a detailed Headshot Getting Ready Guide and What to Wear Guide so there's no late-night googling about whether your blazer will read on camera.
I'll also send a short questionnaire so I can plan your session around your specific brand, industry, and how you want to be positioned.
A retainer secures your date. By the time session day arrives, everything is taken care of.

During your session
From the moment you arrive, you’re in good hands.
We'll choose your backdrop together. I'll walk you through every pose. You won't have to figure out your expression, your posture, or your angles — I'll direct all of it.
We check in as we go to make sure we're getting exactly what you came for. Most clients tell me they're surprised by how quickly they relax.

After your session
Within 3–5 business days (usually sooner) you'll receive your online proofing gallery. Choose your favourites.
Your fully retouched images: colour and black and white, print and web resolution, and ready to use anywhere are delivered within another 3–5 business days.
If you have questions when the gallery arrives, just reach out. You're not left to figure it out alone.

The most popular choice for Victoria professionals.
Studio or outdoor. One focused session, up to three wardrobe looks, and up to three backdrops or setups within your chosen location. Three fully retouched images in colour and black and white copies and print and web resolution included.
Everything you need to refresh your headshot across every platform, in 30 minutes.

Additional Retouched Images
From $40 each — based on quantity ordered
Rush Delivery
Receive your final images within 24 hours of selection for an additional $75. Standard delivery is 3–5 business days.
Extended Retouching
$40 per image. Available on request for anything beyond standard retouching.
A $100 retainer secures your session for The Refresh and The Corporate packages. The Brand Session requires a $300 retainer. The remaining balance due 24 hours before your session date.

What should I wear?
When you book, I'll send a full What to Wear Guide to help you plan outfits that photograph well and match your brand. The goal is to look like the best version of yourself.
Where is your studio?
My home studio is located in the Bear Mountain community of Langford, BC. I serve all of Southern Vancouver Island including Victoria, Saanich, Colwood, Oak Bay, Sidney, Esquimalt, and beyond.
I'm not photogenic. I've never loved a photo of myself.
After 13 years, the thing I care most about is simple: I want you to genuinely love these images.
Not just be okay with them. Not settle. Actually love them.
That's why before we even start, we talk through what you want — and what you don't. What you've hated in past photos, what you're hoping to feel when you see these ones. And during the session, we pause and review together so we can catch anything and adjust in real time, while we still can.
That’s what changes the result.
How do I book?

What's included in a package?
All packages include session time, an online proofing gallery, and full retouching and digital delivery of your chosen images (number of images varies depending on the purchased package). Additional images can be added after your gallery review.
What about hair and makeup?
Plan to do your hair and makeup before your session and bring a few essentials (brush, hair spray, touch-up makeup) for any last-minute fixes. If you'd prefer a professional, I work with several mobile makeup artists who can come to you before your session. Just let me know and I'll connect you.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens — especially at this time of year. If you need to move your session, 72 hours notice is appreciated and you can reschedule directly through the confirmation email you received at booking.
Will a professional headshot make a difference compared to an AI-generated photo?
Yes. In high-trust industries like law, finance, education, government, and real estate, your photo is your first impression. It's your reputation before you've said a word.
A real headshot does something an AI image can't: it shows the person you're actually going to meet. Some people won't notice the difference. But in professional circles, more people are starting to. And when someone does notice, that quiet doubt lands before you've had a chance to say a word.
Do you use AI to capture or edit your images?
No, and this is something I feel strongly about.
I've been studying photography since 2009 and every image that leaves my studio has been worked on by a real person who understands light, skin tone, and what it means to make someone look like themselves. I shoot on professional camera equipment and edit in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop — and while AI features are increasingly being built into these platforms, I actively maintain full human control over every edit.
My retouching is handled by a professional editing studio whose policy states they are a people-powered company — their artists perform all work manually, without AI.
When you invest in a professional headshot with me, a human being is behind every single decision. That's not a small thing anymore.
